Christmas Comfort

Of mistletoe and holly,
Berries white and red,
Travel far the Holy Family,
Mince pie surprise in biscuits' stead.
Baubles dangle, candles chatter,
Quick to light the fire; that's right,
Mary's sighing, Angels singing,
Don't put the cat outside tonight!
The brightest star in Heaven is shining,
Frosty silence cloaks the heath,
Time to close the heavy curtains,
Did you hang the Christmas wreath?
Glad tidings to all friends and family,
Please know that in our hearts you reign,
Though hemisphere divide belonging,
Love and memories never wane.
